We believe the consultation is the most important stage of cosmetic surgery, because it gives us the opportunity to assess your needs and your body’s readiness for any form of surgery. Before proceeding with any treatment we will gather information about your overall medical condition and your prospective requirements.
You’ll doubtless have plenty of questions, and Mr Abood will be happy to answer any queries about the type of surgery you’re interested in. Mr Abood has had fifteen years’ experience as a plastic surgeon and will provide an honest, professional assessment which will help you make the important decision about whether cosmetic surgery is right for you.
If you decide to embark on a cosmetic procedure, Mr Abood will advise you on the best course of treatment for your needs as well as providing a realistic and detailed insight into what you can expect from the results and the recovery process.

No surgery is completely without risk, but across the spectrum of cosmetic surgery, breast augmentation sits at the lower end of the scale.
The main risks associated with this procedure are that of infection and the implant hardening over time (known as capsule formation).
Mr Abood is a fully accredited, board certified, plastic surgeon and will discuss these potential risks with you, along with the potential benefits of any planned treatment. You will be provided with verbal, written and published information sheets for you to go away with after your consultation with him, and plenty of opportunity to have your questions answered along the way.
There are a number of methods we use for breast reduction surgery at SKINSCAR Clinic depending upon the best approach for each individual. All of these techniques will introduce scars of some kind, but, fortunately, those that form after breast reduction tend to heal very well.
During your consultation with Mr Abood, he will show you lots of examples of patients who have had similar surgery which will help you to understand what to expect in terms of scars.
Recovery times from surgery will vary depending upon the individual and the type of surgery which they have had. For example, recovery time after a breast uplift usually means you can go home the same day after surgery and there’s no need to stay overnight in hospital. Recovery times are different for everyone but, in our experience, the downtime after most types of cosmetic breast surgery is pretty short for most women. Most are back to work after two weeks (sometimes sooner).
